Linking in JWF

Use the Call Number and Item Maintenance wizard in the group of Common Tasks when linking new items. This wizard allows you to create a new call number and add your item record at the same time using a single wizard. Right click on this wizard to set the wizard's properties. Options for adding the call number and the item are in the Behavior tab.

When all entries are checked as shown above, the resulting linking screen is shown below. With these options a default xx call number and a dummy barcode are both created. Simply edit those defaults and save the changes. Enter the new item ID (barcode) last so all changes to the call number and other item information will be saved after the new barcode has been scanned. The save button will be highlighted when edits are made.
